• 2024: Award for Excellence in Teaching, MSc in Computer Science, University of the Peloponnese.


• 2024: Best Student Paper Award to my student Ioannis-Aetos Anastasiou, for our joint paper "A novel AI framework for PM Pollution Prediction applied to a Greek port city" from MSc in Computer Science, University of the Peloponnese.


• 2023: Best Student Paper Award to Sotirios Nikoletos, for our joint paper "RoG: A Pipeline for Automated Sensitive Data Identification and Anonymisation" from MSc in Computer Science, University of the Peloponnese.


• 2016: Runner-up for best research paper in ESWC 2016 conference.


• 2012: Honorable mention for best poster (3rd place) in ESWC 2012 conference.


• 2008: Award as Distinguished Scientist Excelling in Research Abroad from the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense.


• 2005: Best student paper award in ECDL 2005 conference. The "DELOS Research Exchange Award" is sponsored by DELOS NoE in Digital Libraries, and covers the expenses of a research stay in a DELOS partner up to 4000 EUR.
