  • 2008: Award as “Distinguished Scientist Excelling in Research Abroad” from the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense.

  • 2005: Best student paper award in ECDL 2005 conference. The "DELOS Research Exchange Award" is sponsored by DELOS NoE in Digital Libraries, and covers the expenses of a research stay in a DELOS partner up to 4000 EUR.

  • 2002 - 2005: Ph.D fellowship from the program Heraclitus of the Greek Ministry of Education

  • 1998: Scholarship from the National Scholarship Foundation of Greece (IKY) during my studies at the Computer Science Department, at University of Crete
